Whaley Bridge Band and Over Alderley Band joined forces on 26th July to celebrate the marriage of two of their band members - Robert Oakes and Lindsay Penney.
It was a stunning day at Birtles and Prestbury, and both bands sounded marvelous playing hymns outside Birtles Church as the guests arrived. Whaley Band also provided the hymns during the service, and entertained the guests at Prestbury in the evening.
Robert and Lindsay would like to thank Whaley Bridge Band for all their hard work rehearsing for the service and evening concert, and more importantly, for joining us on our special day. We couldn't have imagined celebrating without all our friends from band, or having our music provided by anything other than a brass band!
