It was an honour and a privilege for the Band to play at the funeral of our president, Jenny Woodward,
on 4th December at Holy Trinity Church in Whaley Bridge. Jenny had been associated with the band for over 60 years and was ever present in the audience at all our performances.
As well as president of Whaley Bridge Band, she was a stalwart of the Ladies Section of the British Legion, and it was a fitting send off that she left the church for the last time as we played the resounding British Legion March.
The Band would also like to thank David, Craig and all of Jenny' s friends and family for their generous donation from her funeral collection. We hope you will all join us at the memorial concert on Sunday 13th May at Whaley Bridge Uniting Church to celebrate the lives of Jenny and three other band members who passed away last year.
